I Am Broad Ripple

As you know Broad Ripple is a cultural district that is diverse with ideas, people and businesses.  This is what we plan to showcase.  Our plan is to create a yearly festival highlighting what Broad Ripple has to offer i.e. arts, retail, dining and entertainment venues.  We also plan to have smaller events throughout the year at different venues. This will be a family friendly event that  include artists, musicians, community groups and businesses. (There will be no alcohol permitted)  The proceeds from this event will go towards cleaning the graffiti and repainting  of the iconic rainbow bridge this year; any money left over will go into a fund that will be established for the beautification and safety projects in Broad Ripple.  Our hope is to show that Broad Ripple is not just a place to come to late at night, but a community that is vibrant and diverse and we welcome all with open arms to experience what we are about.  We should also mention that we are not a politically motivated group and have no interest in becoming one.  We are a group that wants our community to reconnect  with each other and show the city and the people what Broad Ripple has to offer.

The theme of this years event will be Broad Ripple’s Past, Present and Future.

The date of the festival will be held sunday October 12th, 2014 from 12:00pm - 6:00p, as this is a three day weekend it will likely draw many families.  Also for you Colts fans  out there this is a by week, so bring your loved ones out to enjoy Broad Ripple. The only way we can make this happen is to have the support of our community and sponsorship from local businesses.
